While the song captures a wife's grief after her husband is sent off to war (and eventually killed), a line that is constantly re-appearing, "I tried to look for you but could not see through my tears. If one more time I could hold you, I would give in to eternal sleep"...The video (hopefully) captures the terrible torture that Itachi (the elder of two brothers, the younger being Sasuke) must endure when things seem to start evaporating in his hands. He is a genius beyond comparison, with abilities that would make any great Shinobi of old seam unworthy of the title, and the pride of his family.
His story really begins when, from the head of his 'government' the order is given for Itachi's own family to be exterminated.
It is a choice between open war (which Itachi has a history of loathing - even fearing) or the sacrifice of his clan.
The decline of his spirit and even sanity begins then, and continues rapidly as the appointed day of extermination grows nearer. And as the time wears on, and he looks longer and more carefully at his own younger brother, he realizes that he could never hurt him.
When the day comes, Itachi does in fact erase all but one of his clan from existence. Sasuke, who was only eight at the time, (Itachi being 15) confused, terrified and angry, vows to kill his own (once beloved) older brother one day.
Sasuke didn't remember seeing his elder brothers tears that night.
